Purpose

This position is for a Learning & Development Specialist who has experience in the training & coaching of staff on products, systems, quality & soft skills to prepare them optimally for their job functions. The successful candidate must be familiar with OBE techniques, coaching techniques and the overall assessment of the impact of training conducted.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Planning and conducting of monthly on-boarding interventions.
  • Assisting with updating of training materials & slideshows.
  • Planning & conducting the assessment of learning outcomes.
  • Recording evidence and reporting on assessments.
  • Drawing up progress reports for learners where applicable.
  • Facilitating post on-boarding on-the-job training.
  • Sending out e-mails & other forms of communication when necessary.
  • Doing monthly training statistics reporting to be included in the Management Report.
  • Monitoring the quality of training.
  • Recordkeeping of all training facilitated.
  • Updating knowledge about new developments within the learning & development industry.
  • Acting as business partner to departments & building exceptional relationships.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A completed 2-3 year degree/diploma in HR, Psychology or ODETDP Diploma is a MUST (Minimum 2 year qualification at NQF Level 6)
  • Must have experience in the facilitation of product, systems, soft skills,    coaching & call centre training
  • Intermediate to Advanced Computer literacy (Word Excel, Outlook & Power Point)
  • Any e-learning qualification completed, or course attended, will be advantageous (Articulate 360, Moodle, etc.)
  • Knowledge of AI implementation within the learning space, would be advantageous.
